Charman started full time in the family business at the age of 21. Parkfoot has developed and grown to be one of the most unique petrol station stores in the UK. With the investment into butchery 15 years ago the business headed off in a new direction, with food to go and food for dinner at the heart of the offer. Over the past 40 years Spar Parkfoot has won many awards across the whole spectrum of categories, winning Forecourt Trader of the Year twice, 39 years apart. The company has been washing cars for over 25 years and has two Adriateh jet wash sites in Kent, providing premium jet washing facilities for thousands of drivers. David is partially retired from the day-to-day business, but he is still involved in the development and the success of the site.
