Nabil Subuh
Chief Executive Officer
Westmorland Family

Nabil Subuh returns as a judge at the Forecourt Trader Awards for the second consecutive year, bringing more than three decades of senior leadership experience across some of the most dynamic corners of the food, hospitality and convenience retail industry.

Chief Executive Officer of Westmorland Family, the much-loved Cumbrian family-owned business behind Tebay and Gloucester Services, Nabil leads a unique operation that farms, butchers, bakes and cooks its own food, championing local partnerships and small suppliers at every turn. It's a role that draws together the full breadth of his experience — from farming and food provenance through to multi-site hospitality and retail leadership. Nabil's career spans Quick Service Restaurants, Food to Go, Franchising and Farming, with international experience gained at EG Group as Group Operations Director across a France and Benelux.

Earlier, during a 13-year tenure at Welcome Break, he held a succession of senior roles culminating in Commercial Director, where he led the introduction of a branded food court solution and built strategic partnerships with some of the biggest names in the sector — including Little Waitrose, Starbucks, Costa Express, KFC, Burger King, Papa John's, WHSmith and Krispy Kreme — while also developing innovative in-house concepts and service models that reshaped the customer offer. His prior leadership includes roles as CEO of British food brand Square Pie, and earlier formative years with Pret A Manger, Coffee Republic and Whitbread.

A self-confessed foodie with a genuine passion for great products, strong brands and innovative formats, Nabil has been a friend of the Fct Trader team for nearly 20 years and is delighted to lend his expertise once again to recognising and celebrating the very best operators in the trader community.
